The Fray and Psalms 22:1-2 | June 6, 2009

The Fray’s song You Found Me reminds me of Psalms 22:1-2:

My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? Why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring? O my god, I cry in the daytime, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent.

This question is being asked even though God is with us all the time even though sometimes we feel as though he is not. Isaac Slade, the lead singer of The Fray, is asking God through the whole song where were you when I needed you most? This is evident in the words, “I’ve been calling for years and years . . . and you never left no messages . . .” He feels just like the dude in Psalms 22. This song touched me so much because I know I’ve gone through that. Who hasn’t?  Love this song. I bought the whole album because of this song.  I have both of The Fray’s albums. I love them.
